Why would someone carve initials in this coin?
A love token, swanky member of the MG owners club or the guy who designed it so that one day the World would know of him. You decide.

At least it is engraved, not impact stamped, and so does not affect the obverse side.

Naturally, I would prefer it without the 'MG', but I would oblect less if it had 'MB'. I must apologise. I am a Mercedes-Benz owner!

Condition wise, I notice that George's eyes are not too badly affected by wear, which is common with this design.

A coin very much worth keeping, on account of it's condition, anyway.
