Anyone care to give their opinion on what this bill might fetch if I sell it? Is it wise to spend a few bucks and have it graded or is that a waste of time/money?

Graded or not it's sure to fetch 600+. I don't think it would grade high enough to justify the expense if you're just going to sell it. If you were going to keep it, it would prob. be worth it in the long run.

I think it will cost more than a few bucks to have it graded. It looks at least fine and if you just want to dump it I would just try an sell it for whatever a fine 1934-A
$ 500. would sell for.

I don't think putting in some fancy holder that says Fine on it would get you any more for it than what a serious collector will pay for it, and it will cost you more time and money to send it out.

Thanks for the input guys. I also got a few replies from other collector sites where I could send a higher res image. The one picked up there are some tiny pin holes that I never even noticed just to the left to the left of the bank seal.
I'm learning quite a bit through all this and this actually seems like a pretty interesting hobby - I need to start paying more attention to what a put in and take out of my pockets and wallet!
thanks again.

Anytime you're able to come across one of these for anywhere close to face value it's definitely worth setting aside if you can
