Last Saturday the dealer was supposed to be sending off my 1825 bust half to PCGS. I went to their website and it seems that you can track progress of a submitted coin online.

Is there some type of tracking number I can obtain from the dealer to check the progress? Also, will that show me their grade determination once the coin has been inspected/graded?

yes you can, but chances are you will have to sign in to see that information and also chances are you have to be a paid member also. I have a shipment going to PCGS in the morning and if I wanted to check status of it all I would have to do is sign in and punch in the submission form number or it will probably have all the submissions tied to my account already in there and show me the status automatically. I always keep an eye on my submissions (I don't know why) just to see what the grades are because I don't like surprises
