This is an interesting roll find. I did some research and I think it is double struck, flipped, and slightly rotated. Has anyone seen anything like this before or know any more about it? I checked completed ebay listings and I didn't see anything similar, does anyone have any idea what it might be worth?

A very nice find, indeed. This is an in-collar, flipover double strike.

I'm super jealous; that's a great one. I've never seen one before other than Internet image galleries of awesome errors. I have no idea what it's worth, but if this was GTP, I'd say $100.

Wow ... excellent find.

I was looking at the photos trying to find a way this could be PMD ... then read Mike Diamond observations ... he is the expert on all things error ...

I salute the great find.

Tell us ... how did you come about acquiring this coin?

I found this roll searching. I continue to be amazed at what can be found from circulation. I wish I had an idea of what this might be worth but I guess it is subjective considering it is such a unique coin. It's a 1990d, just think if it was missing the designers initials. That would have been cool.

Such an error is by no means unique. They are rather rare, however. In AU condition (which is what this appears to be) I'd estimate its value at $100 - $125.

You're right I didn't mean it's the only one that exists, I should have said rare or uncommon for a roll find.

Wow, $100 I didn't think it would be that high.

Thanks for all the input! I've learned a lot since I joined the forum.
