I am not looking to sell it as it is one of my favorites but any idea if it would be worth something to someone else? if only it was in better condition.... biokemist6 Bedrock of the Community United States 12437 Posts	Posted 08/19/2011 10:48 pm It is a lamination error, an internal flaw/weakness in the alloy. It is not uncommon and can be seen on numerous world coins. Common coins might see a small premium from someone looking for a lamination but they tend to devalue a key or semi-key coin as a lamination detracts from the eye appeal of a coin, especially an expensive one.
