upgrade. My goal is at least G grade for the pre 1934 coins and BU for the rest.

Quote: Badthad I regret I didnt buy that 31S you sold in here last time per about $100 , just to give a idea about my dealer he sell one in way lower grade per $140 . Still waiting for another to show up in here and this time I wont think much because these goes to fast !..
Sorry you missed the deal. Unfortunately, I won't be selling many coins here anymore. Since the new format went into effect it's just too cumbersome for me to list multiple coins. I've had a bunch of coins sitting in the FS section for about 3 weeks now with few buyers, it seems the buyers have disappeared too. Guess I'll be forced to sell what I have left on ebay.

Quote: Dansco albums are known for fogging up proof coins and turning red copper ugly. Be warned. So if Dansco albums do this, why does everyone use them. So what should I use for my Lincolns?

I have all of my Lincoln Proofs in my Dansco album. I have zero problems with them. I have said it before, and I will say it again and again, keep your albums in the right environment and you should have no problems with your coins.

Well, "everyone" doesn't use them - I don't. I know a lot of people do, but I stopped after finding coins with problems caused by the albums in about half a dozen sets I bought, along with problems in a set I hand picked and put together in what was supposed to be a top quality Dansco. I ended up replacing about half a set once at a large cost, and stuck them in 2x2 archival safe flips...and have had them there ever since.
There is some chance that a Dansco will not hurt the coins, but I will never take that chance again, and would advise to never listen to anyone who says Dansco albums are "just fine" - they have no clue how many coins those albums have ruined.

OK, so I moved it into Mylar 2x2s and those pages that hold them after I noticed some haze on a couple proofs. I also added the following coins: 1957 proof ( rainbow toning) 1960 LD proof 1961 proof 1962 proof 1963 proof 1964 proof 1969 S proof 1970 S LD proof 1971 S proof 1972 S proof 1973 S proof 1974 S proof

Agreed they are constructed a little more with quality than most of the other brands. HOWEVER, I still think brown coins in a brown holder just doesn't look great. One main thing I do like about Whitman is the color. A brownish coin stands out due to contrast. I've never had Dansco Albums for a long time so can not say what coppercoins says is true or not but if he had problems with them, one more reason I'll stick to MOSTLY Whitman. I do say mostly since I get all my Albums free so can't be to choosy sometimes. All in all, every Album of mine are in Zip Lock Plastic Bags. All #1 sets are in double Zip Lock Bags just to make sure.
