A buddy of mine brought me two coins back from Egypt for me but I can't read the date. Any suggestions on where I could find date translation website for coins?

Thank You Marco. Now I just have to bust out the magnifying glass to translate.

Egyptian coins bear two dates, AD (Christian calendar) and AH (Islamic calendar). you should find two numbers, one translating to 1900- or 2000-something, the other to 1300- or 1400-something.

Once you can read the numbers on the coins, try using this coin-date calculator to convert the date.

Wikipedia is always the best source for good information..just go to their website & search..not through google.
