Thanks for everyone's support lately. I am new and have not gotten anything but courteous replies to all of my questions. That being said, I will post this one for review and lay low for a while to just view so that I don't wear out my welcome. And work on my picture skills. lolol

ahh man keep em coming, thats what we come here for, to help out anyone who has a question and we love being able to help the new collectors no matter how stupid they may think the question is, chances are we have either answered it before or had the same question ourself some time or another. As far as the coin in question (I am not a franklin expert)I think it looks like a 64 or 65 and possibly a FBL

Hi Tights

I cant tell what is on the coin and what is on the 2X2 ? All of the little speckles are distracting when trying to grade a coin especially by photograph,,

If the scratches that I see on the Bell crossing the Bell lines in two places and the ding on Franklins Cheek, and the patch to the left of the Bust are on the coin, then MS-63 Is my estimation.

Metalman et al, should I take the coin out of the 2X2 for photos? If I am reading my RedBook and PCGS website correctly, there is a large difference in value the higher the MS goes? I guess to make sure that is not a coin that I would want graded?

Hi Tights

I fixed the Date for you ,,

If not out of the 2X2 then the windows should be very clean,, In the pictures anything on the windows loses the perception of being above the coin and can be mistaken as detail or damage thus throwing off the estimation of grade.

Your correct that the Higher the MS grade the Higher the value, although Rebook is not the best source for current market value of a coin, completed auctions are probably the best way to get what the market is sustaining on any given coin series.

ebay ,Heritage, and others.

Keep Em coming Tights ,, no need to feel self consious among Family !!
