i just come across a double gutter printing on a 5 note. the blank is on both back and front and when creases are flat the note is out of cut on top and bottom.

it is 1981 series FA serial number the O in of is cut in 1/3 and goes at angle to bottom to the S in dollars

the 2nd gutter is right after the 1 digit in number and only borers seem broken not mint but still have a crisp to note

it seems the note is bit longer because none of the printing is missing. the back has huge blank strips and most noticeable

what can it be wroth?

thanks

First off to the forum.

That definitely sounds intriguing, do you happen to have a scan to post? It really does help with determining value.

Hi cjnchef99,
Every once in awhil the BEP screwes up like that, I'm sure it's still worth $ 5.00 but if you don't like the way it looks I belive if you send it back to the BEP with a note explaining that you would like one that's not messed up they will send one to you.

I have a few with gutter folds. A one dollar note with a gutter fold can be around $15 and up.

This one below, I paid $40 and I've seen similar for up to $100 with multiple folds:
