Gold is supposed to be considered a 'safe haven' for investors. What sort of safe haven, given the historical price volatility of gold?

That makes it very hard to guess a peak price, with timing included.

Most metals tend to top out in April or May every year. Since you split your poll between the two, I could not vote.

This year is unusual. Usually metals drop into the summer. Not so this year. Instead most either rose or stayed flat. To me that is an indicator of higher prices late in the year. Most likely after a savage sell off in the Autumn.
