Had a phone conversation with ScoutJim yesterday. Nice Guy. Talked about starting a coin club in our area. Any menbers of the forum belong to coin clubs? Got any ideas of how to get one started?

I'd recommend having experienced numismatists and YN's both at the club meetings. As a YN, it's pretty cool to have Bill Fivaz at my club and attending meetings just like me. Also, make sure you have a good place to meet. My club meets in a meeting room in a library.

I would also like to Say that he is a nice guy as well, very knowledgeable about life and stamps and even more than he knows about coins. I cant wait to see his collection of Coins and Stamps some Day....

Just putting this back on the front page. Some user names list states and/or cities for locations, others list none. Are there any clubs in the Northeast, namely eastern Mass or Southern NH? Or at least places where people get together and have a pow wow about coins? I have a local dealer, but do not have a good repoire with him yet. Still can't figure out how much trust I can throw his way. I've gotten mixed feelings with comments like "There's no point in getting it graded as I can tell you it is high AU. Let me know if you want to sell anything". Those type comments. I am a rookie at collecting, but well versed in BS.....lolololol
