teller at the bank had this along with A LOT of other old bills...

not in great condition, probably average of VG..
Need-Help-On-Value-Of-1934-C-$20-Note

also have a few other notes I need checked:

1969-A $100 D-00181716*
1950-C $50 H-02302195

both notes in average circ condition

also she had a newer 1996 $100 that looked to be chopped on the top - the top white portion of the bill was not there.. is that a valuable error?

So your asking about the value because you want to sell them or are you asking if they are valuable enough to keep? I personally would want to keep them all since to me they would have collector's value.

As to the monetary value, a little more than face, possibly $8 to $25 depending on the note.

On that $100 error be sure that someone didn't just cut the top margin off with a pair of scissors. A note like that if legit could bring in a bit, but without seeing it I wouldn't try to guess what amount that would be.
Rest in Peace

Notes don't carry a premium until the cutting goes into the printed area.

i will try and acquire that $100 error..

in the meantime, the $20 question was for both, collector and monetary value. it would be nice to know if bills that old, pre1934 or worth keeping regardless...also the 1950's bills as well. not sure to keep them unless they are UNC?

I'd spend the 50+100. You may rarely see them, but that's just a matter of exposure, there are tons out there.

If you can get the $20 and others for face value that would be great.

Not really, because then you'll stash them for twenty years and miss out on buys you could have made, and they still will be worth face.
