This is another bargain bin find. Despite the small size of this coin, the 9/8 is easy to see. I cannot see the 01/99, but I'll assume it's the documented overdate.

This one has a modest premium

Thanks...this is another case of a coin with a very small date.
At coin shows here, there often isn't enough light to see such small details.
So I'll pick up anything that shows something interesting in the date area, to bring home and study.
I often luck out that way.

pretty cool indeed, I still haven't found a overdate yet... as I find it hard to see often even on pictures.
I gues practise makes perfect huh

Thanks--and yes, I think I've developed a talent for finding overdates.
These coins must be more common in Europe, so there must be some overdates to find.

ooh yes there should be a lot of them here, from a lot of different country's.
Problem is to find them, but it could be a nice side topic to collect with a nice variety!

Although ofcourse not strangely enough Belgium is probably on the top of that list lolzz

Must search a little bit better in the weekend maybe, when I have more time.. and will post them here

Yes--Belgium did re-use a lot of their dies, and perhaps longer than they should. If you're interested in finding overdates, Belgium produced many, the Netherlands a few, and many from Sweden. I have studied the catalogs and made a list of what to look for. It's easier to find overdates if you look for specific coins.
