I think it is PMD.

It looks like it was hit hard but there is little or no displacement of metal. I don't know?

The first two pictures look like it could be a rim Cud. I haven't figured out what the third, out of focus, picture is.

Pic of the coin standing on its rim... picture taken downward. At the silver-black juncture you can see the letter "R" and the metal that is standing up above the rest of the rim.

Just a thought. Looks like someone might have tried to fill in a rim ding with silver solder because it looks extra shinny.
