Error Coin? Dime Completely Missing Rim(Clad Intact)

The coin does not appear to have been dipped in acid . As the clad is completely intact It has a "U" crevice where the rim should be

Any idea if it's worth anything? I will try and upload a photo if I can. My camera sucks by the way.

I see dimes like this fairly often. The copper is more reactive and can corrode out.

There is an acid that will eat copper much faster then the nickel in a clad coin.That's what this sounds like.A photo will help a lot.

if it's corrosion why does only the copper have a actual rim then ? (did a closer inspection of it )

You mean the reeding (the little ridges on the edges of dimes and quarters)? Probably because the clad layers are so thin it mostly wore off those already.
