Hi all,

Found a bunch of oldish dollar bills from the 30's to 50's.

Are there any keydates to look out for? Are they worth anythign more than face value? There aren't in Uncirculated shape, not even close, but just wondering if a coin store would give more than face.

cheers,
Rest in Peace

Although the signatures on the bills matter hugely.

I'm betting any notes from that period that are worth something you probably don't have. For example North Africa and Hawaii notes carry a premium, as do "R" & "S" experimentals, 35G's with motto, various star notes, etc.

Perhaps it would be easier to tell us which series you have, the seal color, and serial numbers and we could proceed that way.

Thanks,

I'll crack open the safe on the weekend and take a quick peek. Don't think it'll be anything interesting though. Most likely will trade in for some bullion :P

The star notes from the 1934 usually carry a premium. These have the solid stars. There are bunch of green variations with older notes as well.
