windking New Member Canada 6 Posts	Posted 09/07/2011 5:17 pm I got 10 consecutive $20 banknotes They're the new series - issue of 2004 but they are in excellent condition and they're serial numbers are consecutive.... Do they have any extra value? Report this Post to the Staff

neweden Valued Member Canada 272 Posts	Posted 09/08/2011 12:02 pm The usual rule of thumb when I was a dealer was consecutive numbered notes were worth 10% above book value. Of course with newer bank notes their value would not be determined for some time yet unless they are radars, replacements etc. Modern banknotes that have sequencial serial numbers should if at all possible be put away for future reference.
