I have been gazing at the collection of old and foreign coins that I found after clearing my late father's old house. I remember playing with them when I was a kid around 50 years ago ! - though I don't feel that old. They range from the fairly modern (1950s) back to around 1865. Some in acceptable condition to the completely obcure (weightly though !)
I have come across some one that has me stumped. I wish I could send a picture. I'm far from great on technology. I'm still fascinated by the light-bulb !
It is a bronze coin, 230mm across with a pentagram (5 sides) on one side with a '5' and some arabian/indian style writing in the centre. One the other side is a stylised pentagram with arched lines and more of the same style writing with '1330' again in the centre.
It may not even be a coin ! It could say 'free with every 5 issues'!
Also I know is isn't nearly 800 years old - I'm not that silly !
I ddn't know if anybody here has come across one before !
If it is generally believed that I should try for a picture, I will ask one of my more experienced off-spring to give it a go.
Grateful for nmy help.
Cheers
L
