So the gimmick here is "Made with silver from Ground Zero"

How much of it? 100%? 50%? .03%

If they have a 3000 ounce "pot" of melted silver from wherever and threw in ONE ounce from ground zero, the phrase "Made with silver from Ground Zero" is not a lie, however, as is with most of the products from HSN, it's far from the truth.

What I do find offensive is that PCGS is apparently selling slabs to other companies.

Collectors Universe is the corporate parent of PCGS, it is not a separate unrelated company.

No, the Silver and Gold Eagles being sold were actually located in the COMEX vaults underneath the WTC complex on Sept 11, 2001. Those vaults were unearthed in November 2001 and then the bullion was sent to Collectors Universe for slabbing.

You are confusing these coins with the shameful "Freedom Tower" plated schlock being sold by the National Collector's Mint.

We're all entitled to our opinion about recovery pieces--and I respect that.
There is so much raw emotion over 9/11, I cannot help but wonder if that's being used to push product?
I always look for a money angle--but that's just me; I am cynical.
