Avoid the neighborhood and not avoid show off (modestly). Though having been a watch fanatic for a while before getting into physical PM, I could be sporting a fortune on my wrist that the average joe wouldn't give a second glance to.

Never been into wearing jewelry, but I have a nondescript Tradition wristwatch I wear because it's self-winding, not because it's 41 jewel or prolly a half ounce of gold.

Toddlers/kids/children don't need to be wearing expensive jewelry, any more than they need tattoos, high heels, alcohol, or car keys. For the one kid in 1000 who is responsible enough to care for bling, there's 999 others who think of mom and dad as a warranty for carelessness. Kids don't understand value.

Thanks Ed, I feel the same way.

No prob, TBK. I'd like to have one of those for my wife. Might be useful for getting her into PMs.

There are also house burglars who work naked and oil themselves up to avoid getting caught.

No problem. Just keep a hay bale hook next to the bed. Any oiled creeps show up, just hook 'em, yell, "come'ere, cupcake", and reel 'em in.
