Whats up with Wheat Cents that look this color. always wondering but never knew. I found 5 or 6 when I was searching though a box of Wheaties.

Not sure but any coin that old and that clean surely must have been dipped in something. Possibly battery acid.

In my opinion it looks much like this coin mentioned here on the forum maybe a week ago

cleaned and then resurfaced is my guess. Worthless to me
I mean I would take it if I found it, or if someone gave it to me. But not to buy it.
