So he brings the gold home and won't allow any out of the country. He should be fighting the rampant inflation in his country that undermines his economy and people instead. How self serving this man is.

No surprise there. Dictators control everything, and the companies that set up the mines knew that they were dealing with a tyrant.

Gold coinage puts economic power into the hands of those who have it. Dictators are not known for sharing anything, least of all power. That said, as the leader of a sovereign nation, he has the right to hold his nation's gold reserves in his own country. Any nation has that right. It will be interesting to see what he does with this gold, if anything.
