I am certainly going to buy but I may wait to see if some more bargain pricing will come. If it drops below $20 I will take a larger risk that is for sure.

Great day and something I was hoping for. Well heck to me it didn't hurt if it went to $20 or $100 I figure it is a win any way it goes. I guess you can tell who doesn't have to sell any right now.

Just took a quick browse of ebay prices and silver eagles and maple leafs are still averaging around $50 each. I think that is too big of a markup from $32.

Some of the ebay sellers are just cutting/pasting the same prices and are not using the fluctuating spot...and then wonder why nobody is biting.

Oh no! It just went up $20! Does that mean it has fallen as far as it will fall and I should buy now before it gets any higher, or is this just a dead cat bounce?

Oops, never mind. The price seems to be dropping again...

I've got to leave in a few hours. Maybe I'll buy just before then. Or maybe I should wait until this evening to see what the after market price is...

Should I have the audacity to e-mail an ebay seller whom is selling silver eagles and maples and ask them why they are charging $50 or more when silver is $32 and send them a link showing where current silver spot price is? LOL

Hmmmm... methinks I waited too long. Gold seems to be on a major upswing right now and has gained $20/ounce in the last little bit. I'm guessing a LOT of people decided now was the time to buy when it hit $1635....

SD, I think its a good idea to buy some now. not a ton, just some. and if it drops next week buy more. if it rises next week then at least you will have bought some at the lower price.

I think wait until about 7 Sunday night, and if silver crosses 31, buy buy buy, and if it starts to drop, wait to see how low into the 20's it goes....

Are the prices stable over the weekend while the markets are closed?

I did finally bite the bullet and bought 1 gold coin just as gold hit $1650. In the end, it probably wasn't worth getting just one coin, once I figured in the shipping and insurance, the cost of the wire transfer, the premium over spot, etc. But at least I can now say I own some gold...

I'll be there when they unlock the doors w/ a coffee and enough money to negotiate a better price.

It's hard for small ebay sellers to stay with falling spot prices especially given the high volatility. Bullion dealers can afford to do so because they just buy more at even lower wholesale prices, but the average Joe (not our Joe) can't afford to knowingly sell at 20+% loss. I suppose though, they should just take the listings off so as to not insult the knowledgeable, but a great sport, sucker fishing is.

I picked up some today for myself & family members. I will most likely be picking up more come Monday. I hope it either drops lower or stays the same. Either way I'll be there.
