Hello, This is my first post. I have the whitman Canadian penny folder and in it has a place for a 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 pennies. It also has a spot for those years with a 'P'. I have gone through about $80 in pennies and never saw one of those dates with a 'P'. Do they have these dates with the 'P' or did Whitman make these thinking they were going to make these dates with a 'P' and they didn't.

Thank You

Hi and welcome to the forum!
There is no such thing as 2007-2010 P pennies. The last year the P was used was in 2006, and this one is an exciting find for roll searchers. According to my 2011 Charlton book, the last P pennies were produced on March 16th, 2006, and was replaced by the Royal Canadian Mint mark that has appeared on Canadian coins from 2007 onwards.

Thank you for the welcome.

That is perfect. I thought that was exactly what the case was. I just wanted to be sure before I use the spots for other pennies. Thank you very much.
Rest in Peace

Your folder may have been produced just before the change from the P to the Mint Logo took place. They usually produce the folders with slots for coins to come for so far in the future. That would most likely explain why it is labeled with the P.

Or I could be completely wrong. LOL!
