I bought a chop marked 1874-CC
Trade dollar with XF details from a guy I have been doing coin business with at a once a month sidewalk sale.
It's not the sort of thing he collects, he collects high grade uncirculated $20.00 Liberties and St. Gaudins, he bought it because he liked the chop marks and is a Carson City product.
It weighs 415 grains which is close enough to the 420 grains of a freshly struck coin accounting for the amount of wear and ever so slight metal loss from the chop marks. I myself am confident it is a good piece.
So, without further ado here are the pictures of both sides.
