p.s which photos are yours? If they are from ebay like "ace111pig" I usually put a note for it. I only share info on the tutorial page and I never claim that images are mine. Just trying to make a page to help people to learn about coins and stuff. I did get a computer keyboard camera yesterday but still figuring out how to work it, hopefully I will be able to add better pictures to the tutorial page.

Oh does anyone know who runs http://www.australian-threepence.com/blog/ as I would love to work with them.

markn can I pretty please copy your pictures because they are so nice and pretty♥

If I were Markn, I would say no. IMHO the tone of your response indicates that you still fail to understand the issues surrounding copyright.

You should, at the very least, familiarise yourself with the term 'attribution'.

With regard to your (seemingly) insincere request, you should note that copyright owners do not always grant a blanket permission to use their personal material/images. If you have a particular need to use an image(s), you should ask permission to use that specific item(s), or failing that, at least attribute ownership.

You should also note that such permission would not entitle you to put your own watermark on said material.

While I agree with Australian Coin's sentiment of wanting to stop copies of an image that she felt some obligation to keep contained, perhaps the chosen implementation was a little heavy handed.

storm in a tea cup I say.

I would respect markn choice if he said no, don't know which photos were his?
He would let me know. :)
I thought I was being nice and cute asking pretty please, well I'm just a young girl maybe people don't think it was cute, oh well...

And I never claim that other peoples photos were mine, putting Australian coin over the top just stops people from adding to ebay listings and having generic photos of coins shown.
If they were my own picks they would have a super cool secret watermark in it.

I am the co-author of the blog you mention and responsible for pretty much all of the images you see on there. If you are interested in using images on the blog for your own material then you are welcome to ask about individual images, tell us what you plan on using them for, and link us to the page you plan on using them on. We won't give blanket approval to use all the images nor will we give approval for unlimited use of any one image. If we do give you permission to use our images we still retain their ownership and you don't have permission to alter them in any way without approval first.

If you're interested by all means contact us through the blog.

Oh super cool, I never knew it was you blog ♥
Sometime my coin friends give me a heads up for pre released stuff and I would love to let you know first so you can put it on your blog, as I use it as my no1 reference for cool coin info.
p.s I have not copied any pics from the blog page that I know off. I normally use RAM promotional images, and some fill in from ebay.
When I get the camera up and running properly I will update the $1 rams head page with my own pics as I have now almost collected the full series of counter-stamps, cant wait for the "A" then I won't have to use the RAM Consept art images.

Markn do you still go to the ANDA shows, were you at the Melbourne one, just wondering if I have ever see you around :)

Yes I was at the Melbourne show, I'll be in Adelaide too. Generally PP and I get to 2-3 ANDA shows a year and manage one or two smaller shows sometimes.
