in the final version, I wonder if they'll get the colour right for the South Australian component of the CofA ?

I won't be getting them. I only get issued coins from circulation. My normal collecting interests lie elsewhere.
That colourised 50 cents DOES look rather nice! Still won't be tempted.
Pricewise? I agree with floridapalms.

I will be getting the 6 coin mint set, I haven't bought a mint set before but the coloured 50c is really cool, its price has only gone up $2.50 from the 2011 set. They have way out priced the baby mint set $10.00 extra from the 2011 price. Two coin sets are $4 more than last years wool set, might buy one but it's still pricey for 2 coins. he he put Australian coin on the images so people don't copy them and put them on ebay!

steve OZ Loving the coin in your avatar! But back to the post at hand, I dont know how much longer I will be buying sets. Everything is going up but our pay packets and they are jumping up and up each year. I dont see how or why they would, it is driving the collectors away in droves and sending them noodling and that takes my noodling coins away from me hahaha. RAM need to have a think if they are doing the right thing. I used to get them as Birthyear presents and the like.

Gecko, I agree on the prices... at the end of the day, these are collector / gift sets not bullion!

They are RAM promotional pictures for dealers to use! OK Maybe people don't want me to share pre released products on the forum anymore?

Quote: They are RAM promotional pictures for dealers to use! OK Maybe people don't want me to share pre released products on the forum anymore? I am sure someone finds your information about soon to be released products useful so by all means keep posting it. However, you're not a RAM dealer and those are still not your images. Do you have permission from the RAM to modify them? Given that you probably downloaded them from the International Numismatics site have you actually read the relevant parts of their copyright or privacy policy? You were playing free and easy with other people's images on your website when you first appeared on this forum (including using some images I took) and don't seem to have learned yet. Other peoples images are their property, you cannot use or modify them without their permission. Here's a hint. Ask them for permission, you'd be surprised how many say yes. If you don't want to ask their permission get a camera and take your own images. That's not that hard either.

the images are freely available (i.e. in the public domain) on the interweb and hard copy and as anyone interested enough to get to this forum would know, all coin designs, in an avatar or otherwise, belong, by law, to the respective copyright holder. sharing the joy of collecting with pictures between other interested collectors I call "personal, non-commercial use".
