Some guy on some other forum has a coin from the same obverse die, but his also has a huge crack on the reverse. Mine has a normal reverse, except for some strike weakness in the areas where the obverse die is falling apart.

Ooops, the link is not allowed.

This is a well known shattered die. I check all of my 2007 dimes for this one. Nice find.

I guess with roll searching, patience and volume pay off. After months of searching, I'm finally finding some really cool stuff.

Great find. I've noted at least eight shattered obverse (anvil) dies among 2007-P dimes. I don't know if this is one of them or if it's yet another die.

I found a match on another forum, but it's one I can't link from here. It's the sixth result in my google search search for "2007-p dime shattered die". Weirdly, his also has a big rim-to-rim crack on reverse die, but I think my obverse is a later state (hard to tell from his blurry pictures though.) I can't imagine they'd replace the broken hammer without noticing that the anvil is also on the verge falling apart.

There's this 2007-P shattered die dime from a different die that sold at Heritage for $322! Wowzer!

There are two states of the same die in the Heritage archives. Peaceman's recent find is from yet another.
