Hi, I have another coin I would like an opinion on.
Would this coin be an example of a weak strike? There are plenty of feathers on the emu but the star is almost flat. Detail on the obverse is very wishy washy too.

I bought this coin on ebay from a member of ANDA which makes me doubt it is a fake.

Anyway, your feedback would be appreciated

So are the feathers what you should be looking at to get a good point on the grade because it is the highest part of the coin?

Yes, on the front of the coin the emu feathers and the point of the star are usually the first parts to show wear.

On the back of King George V coins the crown is the first part to show wear. The band around the Kings head has 8 "pearls" and depending on how many of these are still visible you get an idea to the grading of the coin.

I am no expert on grading though, I just know the basics
