I don't actively collect Canadian, but being down here in Florida I do keep any I find in change, roll-searching, etc. But for a while I had a bit of a desire to have a George VI cent. At the last coin show I was at a dealer had two boxes full of world coins for a quarter each, so just out of curiosity I decided to take a look. Snagged this one and 3 other world coins for a dollar total. I'm sure there probably isn't anything significant about it, but I just wanted to share my first King George VI cent with my Canadian friends.

Very nice... it reminds me of when I bought my first Indian Head cent, having never seen one up here in Canada before.

Be on the lookout for a George V cent, and you'll have the whole type set of small cents!

Its a nice find, and even though its brown it looks to be in very good shape. Always nice to add something to your collection you've been looking for :)
