No 93-CC. All others appear to be BU except 89. Need help with grading on it and does it appear to have been cleaned? Set purchased in sixties as shown in Capital Plastics holder and never been opened. Will have future questions as to whether discolorization on edges of three of the coins could be caused by the holder or if it is toning. Thanks again in advance.

Decolorization of the edges is toning... Regardless of how it was done. I'm not a Morgan guy, so I dont know how to grade them (haven't looked at the guide). The 89 doesn't appear to be cleaned, very worn, but I wouldn't say cleaned. Someone else might say differently and if they do, I'd take their word over mine.

There's no way to tell on the others because of the pictures.

Wow! What an entrance! First a wreath cent, then a couple of early dollars, and now a near complete set of cc morgans! You have a amazing collection!
I don't see anything on the 1889-CC that makes me think that it is not genuine. Unfortunately, the coin has been cleaned. I would give it EF details. The other morgans all seem to be MS but that is about all that I can say.

Don't stop posting, jeffrose.

I'd call the '89 VF Details (cleaned); not quite enough hair detail left for XF. Either way, a $1000+ coin.

That 89 looks to me like some kid got his tail whipped. He wrote his name on it or etched it in, then used a pencil erasure to clean it off again.

That's my fantasy historyof this coin, LOL
