I own my avatar coin. It's not so easy to find an error coin that has attractive eye-appeal. This off-center error seems to match well with the design.

My Avatar is a part of my collection, it was my first cap and rays eight reales. Still one of my favorites, even though I have added a few more of them since then.

I guess I like mine because I don't currently own a Peace dollar. If I was to own one it would either be the 21 in high relief, 1928 p, or 34-s.

I created mine from somebody else's photograph, but I do own a coin bearing this bust of Lady Liberty.
I had always wanted to have a "five-dollar gold piece," and it wasn't until 2003 that I found they were more affordable than I had thought. I bought an 1886-S Half Eagle (in AU condition for $165), my first gold coin and the one that turned me into a more serious collector.
So, besides the prosaic fact that it is very pretty, that's why I chose it for my avatar.

2001 Proof snake. I own a few. The best being NGC 70. The rest uncertified. I was born in the year of the snake 1977, my daughter year of the snake 2001, so it just seems to work. Plus I am a bullion dealer most especially silver, my son (year of the Dragon 2000) collects only Perth Mint and most of his collection is Australian Lunar.

My current avatar is just the stock photo. When I first found CCF I had just started to get back into collecting after a twenty year absence. Now that I am an adult with an actual income, I was drawn to the ASE's for their beauty and silver content so I decided to use one as my avatar.

I own the coin that I use as my avatar picture. I chose it because it is unique - there are no other examples surviving that are known. And it is in supurb condition too. The reverse is more spectular than the obverse.
It's my favourite coin -- if you didn't guess :)
