I had a wonderful Christmas all around.

-Gave my 1 brother 6 laps in a Nascar
-gave the other Bro xbox game and best buy gift card
-gave the folks a new flat panel for their bedroom
-gave the wife new pearl earings and a coach bag
-gave the nieces and nephews too much.

we had a grat day accept the wife is laid up from a double bunyonectomy(sp)....she had trouble getting around on the crutches.

I had some terrific coin gifts.

My brothers went in on a real nice type set...and I am glad they got treated very well knowing what they spent. Heres some pics.

I gave my dad a gift certificate to his favorite coin store, and he gave me a Proof San Francisco Mint commem that I had been secretly (or not so secretly) drooling over. I also got a mp3 player (still trying to figure out how to use it) and some cash- that's probably going toward's next season's hockey tickets! The best part was that my family actually seemed to get along this year, things are prickly at best between Dad and his brother. That and I got to see all but two of my cousins, and got to talk on the phone with one of the absent ones!

I gave alot to my family I think betwwen my wife and me we had to buy for 30 people in our family get alittle costly but we enjoy given and blessing others. To may gift to share. the only coin related gift I gave was I keep My sister, Step dad and Nefew current each year on there state quater sets so gave them all of the 2006 D mint marks.

But here is what most want to know about what coins I got I will start with the order I received them since I have been having christmas since saturday and finished today.
1st my mom got me a box of nickels to go through I didn't get to keep all of the nickels just the ones I needed. the best find out of the box was a 1892 Libery Nickel. found 2 silver War Nickels, and got 5 circulated nickels I need for my set.
2nd think the best gift the 20th anv. ASE set. My mom and step dad receeved it 2 days before christmas which we had on saturday.
3rd 2007 Australian Kangaroo
4th It is more of a commerative coin it is a gold plated Disneyland 50 anv. coin.
5th Dansco album for my sac dollar.
6th got from my mother in law about 20 froiegn coins she lives in norway so she brought be coin from places in europe she went last year.
now from my wife today
7th 2007 Maple leaf
8th 2007 Australian Dog
9th got 5 coin magazine I got my reading for month now.

I guess I had a great year for coins

As with every year I give 15 Proof and 15 Uncirc sets to each adult at Christmas. So far I've been doing this for about 20 years or more. So far no one has ever said thanks. I think most still don't know what they even are. Relatives?

I didn't receive any coins this year, nor did I give any except secret santa, but I did receive the blessing of counting my blessings.I thank GOD for my son,my life, the roof over our heads, and the gift of great friends, and most of all the LOVE of GOD.It seemed everything was going crazy for awhile, but that's the great thing about CHRISTMAS,you suddenly find yourself taking in a deep breath of fresh crisp air,and find yourself being blessed by just what's in front of you, those things you take for granted.
Hope you all had a great Christmas, please take a moment to stop and hug your loved ones, and let them know how blessed you are, just because they are who they are.

:) Sandra.

Hi Sandra, Happy New Year to you and your family, those ar some very fine thoughts that you have just posted.
We have just had, and are still having, three days of rain after almost four years of drought. The greatest present in the whole world. Glad you enjoyed the coins.

I know what you mean Carl. Every year I gave my brother a proof ASE and then one day he came up to me and gave them all back and said he really didn't like coins. Go figure!

Got to agree with you all the way. As being blessed with waht is in front of you I really know what you mean. End of 03 I was diagnosed with stage 4 Cancer. Spent most of 04 in hospitals and places like that. After 4 operations, radiation, 2 bouts of chemo I appreciate just waking up now. So very few realize how pricious life is until it is almost over. So far I'm still here so the coin shows will still be seing me for awhile I hope.
And Steve as to your brother giving them back, look at the brighter side. He could have spent them as just change. Yesterday I gave one more proof set to my next door neighbor and she said what is this thing.

They say every dog has his day.........I'm still waiting for mine. Anyone want to trade an ironing board for some coins? I think I'll put it on top of my car and try to pass it off as a surf board. Do you think anyone will notice?
