My bad John, as I thought Carson city produced Peace dollars in 1928, guess not eh.... I had looked it up on our grey sheet at work, but the print is so fine I just mis-read it, common mistake by me as I need to pay MORE attention to details, lol.... Thanks all! I got both those AT coins from cwbyup1051 who sells on ebay as you may see his name on the pics. I copy an pasted it, as the only pics I took above, is of my proof set of eagles. Faster for me that way as I accidentally deleted my re-size program. An most of the time I don't have to downsize the stock images, in-order to get them to load up in the CCF re-size program. I love it, but sometimes files are too large for it as well, an you basically end up downsizing twice.... |

Thanks TBK! An yes Newmismatis I like Pobox look for any excuse to take them out of hiding for a view. I rarely keep anything for a real long period of time, so I enjoy it while it is around....
It is certainly not easy, but I have just about figured out a way to keep silver an other items for sale an moving out from time to time, and always new stuff coming back in, via perpetual cycle of sorts. That also allows me to get my hands on many different items I have always liked, even if it is just for a short while....
I of course will hold real special items, esp if they have the POTENTIAL to sky rocket in value in a SHORT period of time....
Like I would like to get a Ural owl, and the new baby hedgehog release, and just enjoy for a long while an see how high thy could go. Today that would be about a grand investment, but if they ever hit the value of the 2007 coin, you would have about five grand in two oz. of silver, with the potential to get higher. Be funny to see how high they would list at if silver ever hit 75 an oz. or higher.....

I've seriously considered getting that $5 Bermuda. I have a program that stores prices on every coin I'm interested in and I went back in looked at its selling price and wondered why I didn't bid.
2009- $100
2010- $133.50
2011- $260
Quite a jump, huh?

The Ben Franklin 1961 rainbow PCGS no grade for color showed up today, the coin in the first pic, and it is really fantastic and easily one of the best looking pieces of silver I have ever owned, especially of the numismatic toned version, really phenomenal that color is on the front, and very much so on the bell on the back. The front has this great golden/pink color on Ben's face, and this great blueish/purple ring around the outside. And the color on the back in the middle of the bell, is some of the nicest colored tone that I have seen as of yet....

The Carson City mint was set up to mint coins from the Comstock Lode silver and gold mines in the 1870s to mid 1890s. Not sure when the CC mint was closed but probably about the time those mines played out. |

Hawk- I think you threw money away on the AT Morgans, and don't think the other ones are grade worthy. Remember when I told you you'd flip when you saw a proof ASE? |
