Assuming in all G-4 condition, from 1913-1920 I totaled them up (Using This Chart:http://values.hobbizine.com/buffalo-nickels.html), and it totaled at $483.10! I would predict about a 1500-2000 dollar gain! What a great deal for $51.50!

Hello again everyone. It's been a while and I had almost forgotten about this topic!

First off, thanks again for all the help and congrats. You guys are terrific.

jbuck, Thanks, and I'm definitely going to keep searching for that '50D until I find it.

matthewvincent, that sounds like a great idea! As I now have hundreds of dateless buffs that I really have no use for, I'd be glad to chip in a few rolls of them for that effort.

MorganDude, sadly I've had no further luck with the subsequent boxes I searched from that branch. However this wasn't the first extraordinary box of coins I've had from this branch, and I'm confident that it won't be the last.

briank, glad that I could help.

Petersun, I'm not really sure if I should name it or not, but I will say that it's a small, independently owned, regional bank chain based here in the Dallas/Northeast Texas area.

I really wish I had some kind of camera that I could take proper photographs of these coins with.

Nope. no War Nickels. I found 10 common pre-1960 Jeffersons in that box.

Are all of them worn through badly or are there some EF45+?

Sadly, the ones that aren't dateless range in grade from AG to VG, with a few Fine and only one (a 1926) that I would grade Very Fine.

Wouldn't it be fun to 'salt' a few rolls with semi collector's coins, for the next roll hunter to find? Maybe a few really worn out Liberty Heads?
