What's with all the 1970 S nickels? I've gotten 10 of them so far in and only gone through half a box so far. Is it the high mintage of

I would guess so. I see a few of them and my boxes are usually light on S mint marks (east coast).

I average about one a box. I'll never find a small date at this rate...

I'm east coast also, that is why I'm always surprised to get em.

Nickel box is completed, total 70s were 14. Total S mm were 23. Kept them all.

Small date is for the LMC series. This was a Jefferson nickel.
