For dead presidents I'm torn. On the one hand, Kennedy comes off quite handsomely even in coin. On the other, the 1999-present obverse of the Washington quarter is a great update to the old design that looks quite good, I think.  Edited by SaintRidley

I like the 2005 crazy close up Jefferson, but not a big fan of presidents on coins generally. The Presidential dollars are all very uninteresting except Monroe, which I think is really cool looking. @SaintRidley: They went back to a restored version of the old Washington portrait (with the less stylized hair) starting with the 2010 ATB Quarters. |

I personally like General Eisenhower, but he's sort of a Military Role model for me. :P
Its a calm but resolute likeness of him. I think it nicely captures his strength and dignity while showing a compassionate side.

I read somewhere that Washington never wanted to be on money because England always did that and he wanted to be as different from them as possible. Or something like that. I would be hard pressed to come up with a presidential favorite. Walking liberty is always going to be at the top of my list.

This is a tough question ... there's not a lot to get excited about for most of these.
I will go with Lincoln on the reverse of the 2009 cent where he is reading a book while sitting on a log he's been splitting. The design is too small, but much more interesting than the typical 'bust of a president'.

I like the Kennedy half and anything with Lincoln, but my favorite is not a series. I like the images of Ike on the 1990 Eisenhower Centennial Silver Dollar  Edited by Fuzzy317
