I'm not sure I'm following. He sells items at below melt and then keeps the money and never delivers the items, is that correct?

Duke: Yep. He offers people a deal that sounds like a killing, so they feel like they MUST jump on it or lose out. The sense of urgency causes some people a loss of street smarts, and they get taken.
He apparently stopped taking PayPal because they made some reversals and probably shut him down...
The key to his scheme is making offers that are supposedly urgent, and too good to be true. Those two factors cause people to look at profit and act quicker than they should, without thinking.

Anything that looks too good to be true usually is too good to be true.
Also I think the first time you deal with anyone online you should take it for granted that you cannot trust them...therefore start small and build a relationship before entering big deals.

I had followed the thread on another site. I think he got a couple of people, then made it right so as to hold up his name. Then swooped in for the big kill.

Great to be informed about all the possible crooks out there. However, as noted in one post, he uses many different names so this makes it difficult to know who he is and if he is already here. Possibly the only consistant item is he is in Florida but then too, so are many members here now. This list makes it obvious that this person changes names so often, almost impossible to know who he really is.
