Not sure I get that. "PL" is not mint-dependent, in the same sense that you might make allowances for a weak New Orleans strike, and these aren't uncommon with the designation. Going with my gut, I don't think the reverse of this coin would make PL. I'd be pleased to be proven wrong.  |

San Fran is notoriously known for their excellent strikes, especially on the morgans. The services are usually harder on going with a PL on them....

Looks to me like an easy MS64PL. I love the crisp strike on these!

Like I said my photography skills doesn't do this coin justice.....I think it's borderline PL which is what drew me to it. I believe I am going to replace my current type coin for this one.  |

After thinking about that, I'll buy it. Nicely done, although I choose to apply a single standard as regards reflectivity, myself. Does it not, though, illustrate just_how_hard it is to grade Morgans? There are too many, and too many variables in strike, to apply generic standards. We could both be right. |
