Quote: I think Dansco needs a reality check. One of the other album manufacturers should produce an updated 7070 clone and beat Dansco to the market. Dansco has been dragging their feet way too long on this. It almost seems like they don't care at this point. If Dansco had competition, I am sure they would either adapt or lose. Right now, they do not; so you only get what they offer. They make the sales they need without spending money on marketing or development. This type of complacency is common when there is no real competition for a product. My mother is fond of saying "If you think you can do better, then do it; complaining gets you nowhere." So, who is going to create a competing album?

Quote: I see they have a new sixth page that covers 21st century coins Which only fuels the frustration with Dansco. For the longest time, the 7070 was considered to be only a 19th & 20th century type set. However, the market seem to want more from it. Being an optimist, I hope Dansco has been doing thorough research before releasing an update page and/or a new album. I also suspect they were waiting to see what sort of craziness the mint pulls. Imagine if they had created a new 21st century page in 2007, only to have the new Lincoln Cent and ATB Quarters render it outdated.

That does look like a pretty nice album. I'm just not sure I understand their reasoning for arranging some of the types. For example, why is the Presidential dollar in the back with the commemoratives when there is room for another small dollar on the dollar page? Why is the Statehood Quarter in the back, while the territories quarter with the other quarters? All in all, I might have to consider one, too.

Oops! The peace medal and keelboat *are* mixed up. Got that fixed; was just a little asleep at the switch that day...
The white stuff are foam inserts from some coin capsules I repurposed for the project - would like to get out an exacto knife to trim two more to size to fit the two quarters which rotate around in the space a bit. It was a fun project and I like the additional page in my 7070. The Intercept is OK, too!

If anyone would want the Word file with the text and layout of that page I made, I'd be glad to email it to save you the time and bother. Like I said, I just ran a sheet of transparency through my inkjet at home, trimmed it to 7070 page size and two drops of superglue in the top corners.

My only beef with the intercept album (which I have and like actually) is the pages are a little too thin which makes the dollar coins a bit of a pain to get in properly like the ASE. Figured that out the hard way not to long ago but got it to work. If they had just copied the thickness of Dansco I think youd see a lot more people getting them or adding the modern page to their 7070, moving that many coins from one album to another is quite the pain
