Just For Fun Plus 3 Prizes - Coin/Note Limerick Contest

There was a man who preferred the nickel,
This put him in quite the pickle.
With modest objection
He sold off his collection
For the the young maiden who fancied his tickle.

I called up the Mint for a hinting
of what kind of notes they were minting
They said don't be a fool
or act like a mule
that would be the bureau of engraving and printing

Indian1,
I reviewed mine and I'll let it stand as is.
There are several entries that I would just love to change, but
that is up to the authors and not to me.
Many coin collectors do so have the soul of poets.

And so I'll now bid you "Adieu."
With Limericks, not many, but few.
In praise of coins old
with their designs bold,
And new ones as each comes into view.

Two limericks: my entry and this parting one.

There once was a cent from Lime,
who wished he could become a dime,
He went to see the coin doctor,
and the cents surfaces were greatly altered,
now there's some fellow from Lime with an awful counterfeit dime

Shucks! I so wanted the 3rd prize ...

Oh well. I guess my limericks weren't bad enough. This game was a lot of fun though.
