I'd be very surprised if they offered you more than $500.

Quote: being a kid I'd be surprised if they offered anything...Dont know about The Great White North but here in the States any offer to buy would be illegal unless you are an 18 yr old "kid"

Hey everyone, this place wasn't worth my time when they gave me offers: MS-65 ICCS 1935 Silver dollar - I was told it was only worth "junk" silver and they buy junk at 75%.
they also told me spot price was 24$
i left after that

You should have asked them if they had any other MS-65 coins they purchased that you would happily buy from them for their $24 spot price!! Give them a 25% margin!

That's what drives many people away from collecting coins. Too many "dealers" out their praying on people. Not everyone can be an expert in coins to know what the correct value is. These types of dealers give the hobby a bad name.
At one point I read something that said there was going to be a cable show following around dealers from various buying events. I wonder if that is still set to air?

35 cents a gram for sterling and 8x face for any silver coin is commonly offered (and accepted) on radio advertised buyers at hotels restaurants and wherever they set up around. (gold pros)

My wife - knowing my love of coin collecting - showed me a full page ad the other day for a buyer/seller coming to a nearby hotel.
I chuckled and told her those were rip-offs.
