If this becomes a regular issue by the mint I will be torn between it and the silver proof set/ASE proof I have traditionally bought. Mostly I continue with silver products but I enjoy the other coins I have been getting in the silver proof set too.

That's a nice option for people collecting all the issues, clad and silver, but wanting to avoid duplicates. This plus a clad proof set covers all the proof variations for all the denominations, and the mint set already covers almost all the non-proof, and the uncirculated ASE can be bought singly. The only fussy ones are the S-mint business strikes.

I wish the Mint issued this configuration as a regular Set.

The sell-out of the regular 2012 Silver Proof Set should ensure some secondary market value for this product
(since it contains the Silver Proof JFK and Dime, which are under 500k mintage each, including the 50K each in the Limited Edition Sets).

Beautiful Set, throwbackid!

You like it and it was your money - so how could it be a waste of money?

I bet it is a lot nicer in hand also.

What did this cost from the mint? Trying to judge the markup on ebay.

Besides the fact that two of the coins in the Limited Set are now under 500k total mintage,
I would never say any Set containing 2.3382 oz. of silver is a total waste of money.

It's still available from the Mint for $149.95 as I type this.

The mint is selling them for 150. I REALLY like these sets just not the large premium attached. I would LOVE an uncirculated version of it as well

Sweet! I might have to spring for one since I missed out on the silver set. For that price, they could've supplied a wooden box, though.
