Back in the late 80's the wife and I went to Reno NV. At one of the downtown casinos there were two numismatic slot machines. The first one I played would payout in ASE's dated 1987 and 1988. I played a roll of quarters and got 8 ASE's. With silver at around $4/oz I thought I did well.

The second slot machine paid out in Morgan dollars. I played another roll of quarters and picked up five Morgans. I got one 1921 and the rest were in the 1880-90 date range (no key dates). All were between VF and XF. I felt I broke even on that venture. I tucked all of these away and have them still. Today I feel I did real well on both machines.

We made another trip to Reno two years later and I couldn't find the machines or any like them.

Look close at it, look and see what's inside of them. I did that before I ended up trying. The one I saw had all wheat cents. Not worth it. There is one in Pennsylvania somewhere but I forgot.

If you have a location where you can put one you can buy the machines and capsules online and create your own.
