Powerball is also a national game. Trust me, I know. I worked the day of the "Big'un" and we had five employees in the store--there was no time for me to do cooler, etc. I was running a third "cash register" for cash transactions only out of a cigar box using paper clips, a spare roll of receipt paper to write scrip to cash into a real drawer later, and $30 I took out of one of the drawers to make change with. When we finally shut down at 8pm I had more than three hundred bucks in there--and I'd already emptied it out twice. (And, I would like to add, I was ALSO the one running the lottery machine. The other people on register were so slow that I was "ringing out" people using mental math, printing their tickets, and getting them on their way with a 2:1 ratio over my coworkers--and I was printing their tickets too. Both of them are old enough to have children my age. Therefore there shall be no complaining about Kids These Days And Their Awful Math in this thread.)

I never play the lottery but bought a ticket for that drawing on a whim.
Didn't win..... but I did match one number!

I changed my mind. I'd like to go to Chicago to bid on and win the Walton 1913 Nickel. It will make a decent addition to my coin collection. Would any professional on the forum like to go with me? I can pay for everything with my jackpot winnings. Wait until you hear this. I just noticed a pig flying out the window! And it's raining malted milk balls!

Get the 1913 nickel, and then, while on national TV, have people dare you to swallow it.

You mean the $5 Million Dollar Nickel. The nickel would still be worth at least a million if I digested it and it came out the other end.

Oh, man, argentum. 8pm, I turned to Linda and John and said "Good job, guys. We didn't have to turn a single person away." And then I yawned big enough to just about crack my face. ADRENALINE IS A THING THAT HAPPENS.
