If it was in fact cleaned it would make it basically worth its silver value. From the auction though the pictures didnt look like a coin where your first guess would be its cleaned.

It could just be the pictures, looks like good strike and no reason to clean such a common coin for this year.

that coin looks like it has good reflectivity...i doubt its been cleaned based on sellers pic...can you post cam shots from your source...i'd like to see it if you dont mind....

its a beauty !Another way that you can tell its silver is by looking at the the rim of the coin .

Unless you know something that we don't; I don't believe that it has been cleaned. Nice looking coin to add to your collection. I checked the web site also.

Very nice uncleaned dime and for a very good price too. Before you buy too many more coins you should buy the latest edition of the Red Book. It will have all of the statistics, metal content, weight, diameter, etc. for every issue of U. S. coins.
