Yes it came from one box. Only had that happen to me one other time. Usually it is about 10-20 per box

wow, now that's impressive! I'm always excited when all the rolls are the same and the first turns up something. Gives you hope.

Yesterday I got me four rolls of pennies and three were unopened mint 2012s.

I have managed to pick up 6-7 boxes since February... I have so far made almost 1 complete set from 1920 to date.... and have put together 3 sets from 1950 to date and another 12 sets from 1960 to date...
Certainly has been quite an adventure and fun going through 'em all... haven't popped into my local banks for the last two months though now.. so I'm not sure if they'll hand out any more boxes.. (usually the ladies at the local RBC are only more than glad to give 'em to me so they don't have to ship 'em out or lug them around any more)
I have also started to just sort the pennies in boxes according to decade.. up to 96

I'm really surprised that you found 1920-1936 pennies in boxes of pennies. I have yet to find 1 George V penny in a bank box. Good for you.

I love penny hunting I suppose I have an excess of 20 or more boxes in my basement.... I have found my fair share of neat little treasures in there from time to time.....the George V's I almost consider a curse... if you ever find one and it's already late....it's hard to stop thinking the very next roll may have a few more....

Hmmm... sounds like good stuff out there. Going to play it dumb and just order a box and see what happens. The last remarks I got from tellers last year was, "you can buy them, but don't bring them back." Might be worth a try!

Yes.... I have several banks which I "pick" from.... and only one which I tend to return all my "junk" to.... they don't like me over there.. but it's the nature of the beast I suppose..
I would suggest if you pick up boxes that you don't return them to a place you intend to pick from...

Another reason to keep searching out for penny rolls - seems the Tombac nickel still gets confused with a penny in 2013 just as in 1942.. someone mistakenly added one to a penny roll I got from a teller last week - great fortune as my mom needed one for her 5c set...

I don't know how you all still get Penny's. I went to a TD and asked for some rolls and they did have some but they said they cant give them to people anymore.

My experience with TD was the same. Try an RBC, you may have better luck.
