Yea my world cup commemorative half showed up today That takes me to 7 of 18 modern commemorative halves, I love the comms I had thought about doing a classic set but man with the exception of like half a dozen coins every one of those are $50 or more. I want to finish my 7070 before I tackle a set like that.

Can't wait for the new coins plus we did a yard sale this weekend I got me some spending money tomorrow for the coin shop. A little less than I wanted so I likely won't end up getting the T1 Standing Liberty quarter (really want the XF and don't want to get the VF instead) but thinking maybe getting a bust half dollar as I only have the one bust coin so far my dime. Or maybe a Half Cent, I'll have around $85 to spend so I can get something nice :)

You are off to a great start!
p.s. The problem with your pictures is less about your camera and more about the lighting. It looks like you were casting a shadow as you snapped the pictures from above. Add a light off to the side - even a table lamp would do - and I bet your pictures improve greatly.

Yea the 20th century type is great for kids, the whole set can be done for several hundred dollars. The only set back is the t1 standing liberty and then after that just the morgan and Peace dollar are the only other coins over $30.

It looks like I need to take new pictures as I have picked up several coins since I last took pics like two Half Cents and a Shield nickel and more modern comm halves.

Good luck with this and thanks for posting. My 7070 (completed) ends with the 1976 3-coin page and I have no desire to update beyond that! Suggest that for the more expensive coins that you buy them slabbed so that you know they are not counterfeit -- especially for the Seated dollars and Trade dollar -- crack them out but keep the stickers.

When I bought my Trade dollar I printed out like a 10 page info sheet on how to spot counterfeits, I then spent almost an hour looking at it took a bunch of photos posted them here for others to look at then went back and spent another hour examining the coin. Slabbed might have been easier haha
