Lots of different types missing from this poll such as the 1/2 dime. However, I doubt that those missing would make the top ones anyway. I wonder how many try to collect those 20 cent coins.

At present it is the JFK Half b/c I had stopped collecting activity in the late 80s and now am trying to get the set up to date. It is also the first set I ever decided to collect proofs for. Besides that, I like roll searching for the errors/RPMs/clashes/etc.

I also stopped Washington's when the State Quarters came out as I perceived these as nothing more than a marketing ploy so never got interested in getting a set. Also, most of the clad ones were made in such great numbers they will actually depreciate in value over thee years as the dollar keeps losing value.

but I am NOT slamming these - I can see how the quarters made a great way for kids to get interested in "filling a book." its just personal preference, and admittedly I have thought about a set of the silver proof issues - they are absolutely beautiful in an album.

Whichever set I'm trying to build at the moment. Currently, it's Washingtons. Day in and day out though, I'm a Morgan kinda guy. PG

I enjoy most all coins, but favor the series that have Lady Liberty or the Native Americans displayed.

My preferences are:

- Colonial, pre federal and early large and Half Cents
- Capped bust dimes
- Capped Bust quarters
- Early and Seated dollars

IN that order of preference.

Without a doubt Morgan's.. More specifically MS, colorfully toned and PL/DMPL Morgan's...
I'm also partial to the seated liberty series.... All denominations but especially quarters, halfs and dollars. But I like all US coinage... It all has a place in my collection.

But I collect a bit of everything US and world, with the focus of world coins being pre 1900. US to date.. For modern coinage I'd have to say Kennedy's are my favorite I love my Kennedy set...

Be careful, I said the same thing before I got in to searching quarter rolls for ATB's and started finding beautiful examples of State Quarters. I couldn't bear to throw them back into the wild and before I knew it I had a great set and bought a Whitman Classic album for them. They look awesome and the blue of the album really sets them off.
