I swear I could fill a State Quarter album with 2 rolls. Of the 2011 and 2012 you're talking about, I have Chickasaw, Denali (in "S" as well), and Hawaii Volcanoes.

Roll hunting is cheating, for those who want instant gratification. The kids and I have a complete State Quarter P&D and a 2010-2013 ATB P album, all from circulation, searching pocket change and patience is the game.

What's been the condition of the ATB Quarters you've been finding?

Quote: but not for a half a century My LCS said 200 years... maybe, before they are worth anything over face. I'm missing 2 for each year of 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 4 from 2013. All P mintmarks, I have the full D set from the start, I even got the Rushmore in change as I was going to the bank to try my luck with rolls, so I decided to get nickels instead . I get a good mix here, but it just comes down to volume. I am still of the opinion that you will never be happy with the quality of pocket change finds, and doing one roll is just not enough to count as anything more than pocket change, from a very large pocket maybe. Do a couple hundred a week and the folders will fill up fast.

The ones that we have been pulling out of circulation look almost proof like. The kids can spot them from across the room when I dump my change.
They will never be worth anything anyway, o who cares about "quality finds"
It's all about the hunt. Getting rolls is like fishing in a "stocked" pond.

Same with mine. Will that affect the value of the set?

Mine were pretty decent. I'm not too worried about the "cheating" aspect as my child is only 7 months old. It's going to be a few more months before I have her checking change : ) I have been meaning to get an album going for a while and had a day off. As a bonus though I did find a 1964 silver.

Again, what value ? Only you and 500,000,000 of your closest friends will ever possess a 2013 Mt Rushmore quarter in their collection, does it matter who has the nicer looking one ?

Not all of the ATB's have that high of a mintage. That's all I'm saying.

But they are all trending that way from now on for the reasons I previously mentioned. Perhaps the 2010 might be a tiny premium in the future. But the lowest mintage is 44,000,000 for any ATB. That is the highest mintage for any ASE, not exactly rare now or in the future.

My ATB collection is almost up to date. Only missing 2013-D Fort McHenry and now 2014-P, D,& S Great Smokey Mts. NP. Finding the "S" mint business strikes the hardest to find. Have to purchase them from a dealer. The rest I am finding in circulation. Don't think they will ever be worth much over face value, but I'm collecting a set just for the fun of it. They are nice looking coins especially when they are still new.

The S minted ones have to be bought from a dealer or the mint. They are business strikes but they are not released into circulation. The only ones in circulation are the ones that people like me put into circulation for the fun of it.

As someone from Canada, I possess a different set of opinion regarding this. I don't collect State Quarters but I actually do collect ATB 3 Coin sets from the US Mint. When I first started collecting, I tried to make a full set of State quarters: with the P and D mintmarks. I soon realized that I was not really interested in keeping many of the designs in circulated conditions. I then decided to devote more time and resources into ATB.

I have "The Official Blue Book" and they say that the ATB's are $.30 right now. Not sure how accurate that is, But hey...
